HP Envy Curved AIO With 34-Inch QHD Display

At the same time that HP announced the HP Envy 8 Note and HP Spectre x2 tablets this week, HP also unveiled an interesting looking Windows 10 AIO (All-In-One) that has a 34-inch curved display with not your every day 3440 x 1440 resolution.

Before we get too excited over the screen resolution, we’ll have to remember that it only amounts to a ppi of 109. So way less than half of the ppi of the best Windows 10 tablets announced this week.

But since a lot of people have started converting to curved computer displays this year, it makes sense that HP came up with something as wide as this curved AIO computer. And if you don’t like the HP logo on it, you can cover it up with something, and people will only notice the Bang & Olufsen logo on the left top instead, since this computer has Bang & Olufsen speakers.

The hardware on this thing begins with Windows 10 (Home edition), while it’s powered by a Intel Core i5-6400T processor, with a NVIDIA GeForce 960A graphics card. It also has 12GB DDR4 RAM (2100 MHz) and a 1TB hard drive at 5400RPM and not 7200RPM.

The 3440 x 1440 resolution gives it the very unusual aspect ratio of 21:1. But, it doesn’t have a touch screen, which is actually something I have heard many people want in a AIO. It’s not just a case of having become accustomed to touch screens on mobile devices. The mouse travel on this thing is so long that it means people will have to lift their mouse up once and place it to the left or right again to be able to cover the whole screen if they use a regular sized mouse mat and regular sensitivity. Two times if the sensitivity of the mouse is low. So yeah, a touch screen would be nice.

HP have said that they are aiming for a lunch of this huge AIO between November 8 and November 22, with the price starting at $1,800.
