The Firefly feature that Amazon’s CEO Jeff Bezos announced when he launched the Fire Phone in June last year is now coming too all the Fire tablets too.
Up until now, this feature had only been available on the more high-end Fire HDX 8.9 tablet, But with the over-the-air (OTA) update that started rolling out on Wednesday, the Firely feature is becoming available on all the other Fire HDX and Fire HD tablets too.
Firefly lets people search and match products visually by using the camera, or you can use it to get the Fire tablet to recognise movie clips, TV-shows, music, and also 2000 art works so far. When the feature was launched, it was otherwise supposed to recognise 100 million items.
The OTA is now rolling out to Fire HD tablet owners in the US, UK, and Germany.
