The 1st generation Dell Venue 8 was introduced in October 2013, but then only with a 1280 x 800 resolution display.
This time it’s being launched with Full HD 1920 x 1200 resolution like so many other 8-inch Android tablets are these days, like the new Asus MeMO Pad 8 were today as well.
The new 2014 edition of Dell Venue 8 now have specs like Android 4.4 Kitkat, a dual-core Intel Atom Z3480 processor, Intel HD Graphics GPU, 1GB of DDR3 RAM, 16GB storage, a 4550mAh battery capacity, and 802.11 ac Wi-Fi support together with Bluetooth 4.0 and Miracast support.
Additional specifications include a 2MP front camera and a 5MP rear camera, while there’s also an optional docking made for this tablet, called Dell Venue Cradle, as you can see in the image above.
The weight for this tablet is 338 gram, while it’s 8.95 mm thick.
Like its 7-inch cousin it will launch on July 9 in the US, but with a higher price of $199.99.
