Chuwi have announced that their very promising new 10-inch 4G Android 8.0 tablet Chuwi Hi9 Air will open up for orders on April 10, exclusively from the international tablet store Banggood, then Gearbest later. It will be released on April 28:

Gearbest: https://www.gearbest.com/tablet-pcs/pp_1830880.html

Chuwi have been teasing this tablet little by little for the last 3 weeks so it’s good to get all the specs out at once, along with the arrival date. With a price of $239, this could end up being the best value tablet of 2018 with Android and 4G on it, and it’s Android 8.0 Oreo too.

Just like the smaller Alldocube X1 we mentioned yesterday, Chuwi Hi9 Air too is powered by the Helio X20 processor MediaTek MT6797 which is a deca-core processor with good performance. And along with 4GB DDR3 RAM, 64GB storage, and the built-in 4G LTE, it is a versatile tablet with power and storage that can even make phone calls as well as send and receive data. Chuwi calls it WorldMode 4G because they see the bands covering the whole world.

With full Wi-Fi cover, including dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2, Internet should always be available at the fastest speeds possible.

The 10.1-inch inch screen has a high 2560 x 1600 resolution display from Sharp with a high 400 nits brightness and 2.5D curved glass edges, and it even has a 5MP front camera and 13MP rear camera with LED.

Chuwi Hi9 Air also has a 8000 mAh battery, so the battery life could be decent too with this chipset.

The dimensions of Chuwi Hi9 Air are also good, with a weight of 550 grams and a thickness of 7.9mm. It has a typical metal back, but with a plastic lid on the top of the back where the 2x SIM cards and microSD cards can be slotted in. Other ports are the 3.5mm audio combo jack, and the micro-USB port.

Chuwi Hi9 Air looks like pretty amazing value now that the Chinese tablet brands have got much improved batteries, cameras that have surpassed other brands, full Wi-Fi coverage, and good hardware performance, while still maintaining their low prices.
