Computer journalist Roland Quandt spotted the upcoming new Asus ZenPad 3s 8.0 (Z582KL) at COMPUTEX today, even though Asus haven’t prepared any official press unveilings for it today. This is the Asus ZT582KL that we wrote about 3 weeks ago, after the Verizon prepared version had been FCC approved.
The specs seen in Quandts pictures are that of a 8-inch/7.9-inch Android 7.1 tablet with 2048 x 1536 resolution, powered by a Qualcomm Snaprdagon 652 processor, options of 3GB and 4GB of RAM, and 32GB or 64GB of storage.
It’s also powered by a 4680 mAh battery, and has some very high resolution 5MP front and 13MP rear cameras. The audio technology is a continuation of the audio systems put in use on these top end ZenPad tablets the last year, with DTS and 5-magnet dual speakers.
So as we see, it’s not very different from the predecessor Asus ZenPad Z8 (ZT581KL) which is exclusive to Verizon in the US.
