Asus ZenPad 3S 10 4G LTE Has Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Processor Instead

When Asus announced the Asus ZenPad 3S 10 two weeks ago they only announced the Wi-Fi version, but as I discovered in today’s FCC filings, a cellular Asus ZenPad 3S 10 4G LTE is also in the works from Asus, and it has a different hexa-core processor than the Wi-Fi only version.

(LATEST UPDATE: This edition of the Asus tablet was launched as Asus ZenPad Z10 in October)

The Wi-Fi version Asus ZenPad 3S 10 (Z500M) is powered by the hexa-core (1.7 GHz quad-core + 2.1 GHz dual-core) MediaTek MT8176V processor, but the Asus ZenPad 3S 10 4G LTE is powered by the hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor instead.

Other than that, at least the version that passed through the FCC had 3GB of RAM instead of the 4GB of RAM on the Wi-Fi model, but that’s doesn’t necessarily mean that that’s the capacity it will actually be launched with. And it has a 3.8V 30Wh battery.

But other than that, all the mains specs appear to be the same, such as Android 6.0, a 9.7-inch screen with 2048 x 1536 resolution, and otherwise good specs overall.

And the specs have to be good if Asus is going to have any chance going after it’s rival tablet the New Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7, a tablet that the Asus ZenPad 3S 10 appears to be modeled after.
