High-end tablet manufacturers are pretty good at developing their tablets, but aren’t equally good at delivering on their announced released dates once their new tablets have been officially unveiled.
(UPDATE 1 to original article: Asus have told Tabletmonkeys that the VivoTab Note 8 will finally be released on March 10 in the US and Canada as well at the same time.)
And the brand spanking new Asus VivoTab Note 8 is a good example of that. Originally destined for a release in January, it didn’t appear in stores until this week, and when it finally seemed to be available for order, it was withdrawn from stores again. Then to make matters even worse, the same procedure repeated itself twice over the next couple of days.
Microsoft Store who was the first to put it on sale, have now maintained the actual webpage for the Asus VivoTab Note 8, but have filled the page with the following message, seen below.
So we contacted Microsoft Store to hear when the 8-inch Windows 8.1 tablet would be back for sure, and were told that it could not be specified at this time. We then spoke to Asus North America who could not provide us with a new definitive date either, but said it should be available the next couple of days.
So it seems that it will be possible to get hold of it again in USA and Canada before March is over.
