The 8.9-inch Windows 8.1 2-in-1 tablet Asus Transformer Book T90 Chi is available for pre-order. There’s something wrong with the price though, since it’s currently taking orders for $100 more than it should:
When the Chi T90 was unveiled in January, the official launch price was announced as $299, so we should expect the currently displayed price to change soon.
Asus Transformer Book T90 Chi is an 8.9-inch tablet with detachable keyboard, which is a rare size for 2-in-1’s. So a lot of people have been waiting for the release of this tablet.
The specs are a 1.46 GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3775 “Bay Trail” processor, with 2GB of DDR3 RAM, and 32GB / 64GB of storage, with microSD card support to 128GB.
The resolution of the 8.9-inch display is 1280 x 800 giving it a 16:10 aspect ratio. It’s got a 2MP front camera and a 5MP rear camera, 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, a micro-USB 3.0 port, and a 10 hour battery life.
The diamond cut Asus T90 Chi is 7.9 mm thick and weighs 350 grams. For $50 less, you can actually get the Asus Transformer Book T100 Chi for the next 30 days.
