Asus announced important upgrades to their bestseller Asus Transformer Book T100TA, at COMPUTEX in Taiwan today:
The new 2015-2016 model is called Asus Transformer Book T100HA and gets a 4GB RAM option in addition to the 2GB RAM option from before, a new Intel Atom x5 “Cherry Trail” processor, and even better battery life from the former 11 hours to the new 14 hours.
Other upgrades that will keep this very popular Windows 2-in-1 relevant and popular, is the inclusion of a USB 3.1 Type-C port, a thinner design now down to 8.45 mm, and a weight of 580 grams.
It will be sold with Windows 10 pre-installed, with launch in the third quarter this year, so we might expect it to launch after Windows 10 is launched on July 29. (UPDATE: The Asus Transformer Book T100HA release date is October 8 in the U.S., but will be available for pre-order before then.)
The design consists of a metallic finish and with the color options of Silk White, Tin Grey, Aqua Blue, and Rouge Pink.
This will be the fourth model in this series since it launched in 2013, or fourth if you include the newest Full HD Asus Transformer Book T100 Chi model too.
