Asus Transformer 3 (T305CA) Available Globally
The launch of the Asus Transformer 3 (T305CA) was a slow one, due in part to Asus unveiling the tablet many months before the 7th gen. Intel Core “Kaby Lake” processor had even become available.
It has been available in a few countries before, but is now available globally too from AliExpress, though I don’t know if there is much interest in this Windows 10 2-in-1 any longer now that there are so many other alternatives in the marketplace too.
Nevertheless, Asus Transformer 3 (T305CA) is a 12.6-inch Windows 10 tablet with a thin folio keyboard and cover. The tablet is in the ultraslim category of larger Windows 10 tablets, with a thickness of 6.9mm and a weight of 695 grams. The 12.6-inch screen has a 2880 x 1920 resolution display with 121% sRGB, active pen support and an included 1024 pressure levels sensitive pen. The bezels are also slimmer than on most tablets of this size.
The hardware configuration is different than on most tablets. It’s powered by a Intel Core m3-7Y30 processor, with 4GB of LPDDR3 (2133 MHz) RAM, but has as much as 256GB of SSD storage. It can even be hooked up to an external optional graphics processing unit which will give it a lot more GPU power.
On the camera side, it’s equipped with a 5MP front camera, and the new top of the line standard 13MP rear camera. It even has Harman Kardon quad speakers, and these tablet speakers have an effect of 2 Watt, which is a lot for tablet speakers.
It has full Wi-Fi cover with dual-band 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.1, in addition to a USB Type-C port. Other specs include a fingerprint sensor, backlit keyboard, and a 38.5 Whrs Polymer battery good for a 9 hour battery life.
