According to Leaksfly in China there’s a new Asus Padfone S in the works, by the name, well, Asus Padfone S2. It’s supposedly going to be powered by a 3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, so it’s not due for launch before March 2016.
That should give Qualcomm enough time to fix overheating issues on their latest Snapdragon processors.
The current Full HD Asus PadFone S is powered by a 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and has up to 3GB of RAM, while running Android.
Other purported specs that have been leaked are 4GB RAM, a 2K display on the phone which also has a 3060 mAh battery and a 8MP front camera, while the 10.1-inch tablet has a 5100 mAh battery and a 20.7MP rear camera.
