Nokia has rolled out many popular new phones over the last year, and now the new HMD Global Nokia company is starting to look like it is introducing a popular attitude too, as it announced the rollout of Android 8.0 for Nokia 8 today, to the smiles of owners worldwide
It’s been an interesting process, since the chief product officer at HMD Global Nokia, Juho Sarvikas would keep the public posted on the progress of the Android 8.0 update along the way, which he did right after the release of the Nokia 8 in September. So this bodes well for Nokia phones ahead, and I’m keeping my fingers corssed for a new Nokia tablet too with the same speedy Android update. There hasn’t been a new tablet since the Nokia N1 in 2014.
Nokia 8 is one of Nokia’s high-end smartphones with a 5.3-inch screen featuring 2560 x 1440 resolution 2.5D display with Gorilla Glass 5, Dolby Atmos speakers, 4/6GB RAM, 64/128GB storage, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, a 3090 mAh battery, and USB 3.1 Type-C port.
So an interesting alternative to several of the higher end Android smartphones, and now with Android 8.0 it gets a boost on the feature side too compared to its rival smartphone brands.
