Acer Predator 8, Acer’s first gaming tablet has entered production says Digitimes who quotes people from the supply chain of the tablet. The same sources says the tablet will be launched sometime in the last 4 months of 2015.

Acer announced four new tablets at the IFA trade show last year, so we might see a proper announcement of this tablet and more at IFA 2015 in early September.

Acer Predator 8 is an 8-inch Android 5.1 gaming tablet that was announced during a teaser in New York in April, when Acer wasn’t ready to say much about the tablet yet. Since then we have had some leaks on the specs though.

In May the Acer Predator 8 (GT-810) was benchmarked with an 8.5-inch screen with FHD 1920 x 1200 resolution and “at least 5 finger touch support”, a 1.6 GHz quad-core Intel Atom x7-8700 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage.

Other specs leaked include accelerometer, barometer, Bluetooth, front camera, rear camera, compass, GPS, gyroscope, lightsensor, NFC, pedometer, proximity sensor, and Wi-Fi.

With a bit of luck, there could be more to this tablet than the preliminary specs though. Like the with feedback, accessories, controllers, and those speakers and the sound system.
