8.9-Inch FHD Asus Tablet With Android And Bay Trail Spotted

A first 8.9-Inch Full HD Android tablet from Asus with Intel Bay Trail processor have been spotted in the GFX benchmark database.

The Asus tablet is in the 8.9-inch segment, a size that currently only Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 and HDX 8.9 use.

But the specifications that the Asus K014 tablet is listed with includes Android 4.4.2 KitKat, a Full HD 1920 x 1200 resolution display, the same quad-core 64-bit Intel Atom Z3745 processor (1.33GHz in normal mode to 1.86GHz in Turbo mode) that is found in the other new Asus tablets Asus MeMO Pad 7, Asus MeMO Pad 8, and Asus Transformer Pad TF103C.

With this processor comes the Intel HD Graphics for Bay Trail GPU as well.
It also seems to have 2GB of RAM, a 5MP rear camera and a 1.2MP front camera, GPS, and all necessary mobile sensors.

This is the first we hear of this tablet, so this device probably won’t make an official appearance until fall sometime.
