12.9-Inch iPad To Feature Simple Stylus Analyst Speculates

Some new rumors for the upcoming 12.9-inch iPad Pro have surfaced, and this time it concerns the stylus.

The rumor details comes from Appleinsider who quotes KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, a man with the best track record in credible Apple rumors yet. He says that he believes the iPad Pro will feature an optional stylus and not an embedded one, believing that an embedded stylus would drive the prices up too much and scare too many possible customers away.

He does not believe the stylus for the Big Mac to be particularly advanced either, but figures that the stylus could grow into a more advanced stylus over the years, model by model. Ming-Chi Kuo says that this is only his belief based on his own research, and that it’s not based on a leak.

So it looks like the Surface Pro 3 will still be the king of tablets with advanced digitizer for another year. Although we are slowly seeing a trend towards more tablets being sold with a stylus or proper digitizer, the latest of which are the 8-inch and 10.1-inch Toshiba Encore 2 Write tablets.

Apple have filed many patents over the years on various stylus designs.
